2020 REPORT on social dialogue and freedom of association

USLGPSEA has published the 2020 Report on Freedom of Association, Trade Union Rights and Social Partnership.

The report states that in 2020 Restrictions on freedom of association, individual freedom, and regressive participation in political decisions have been registered in almost all directions. Unlike in 2019, there was no social partnership in labor relations, and the rights of trade unions continued to be violated by state officials. Some officials uttered disrespectful remarks about workers’ rights. In the state and LRG sector, employers continued to encourage the formation of “yellow” or “pocket” unions (isolated, not affiliated with sectoral unions). State of emergency and martial law have been used to limit democratic principles and rights. The report states that a very neoliberal orientation of the authorities has been observed. The democratic processes have continued to decline in comparison with the previous two years.

The full report is available only in Armenian.
