On May 25, the Union of State, Local Governments and Public Service Employees of Armenia (USLGPSEA) partnered with Solidarity Center to conduct the seminar Employees “The Union and Democracy in Labor Relations” for public and municipal workers of Vayots Dzor region.
The aim of the seminar which was held in Vayq town, was to inform workers about trade unions, their significance, role, activities, and rights, and to present the principles of social partnership. Participants also learned about the structure and management of unions, and through a role-playing game, they tried to convince their colleagues to join the union. The seminar will strengthen the membership and unity of the crucial workers in the Vayots Dzor and will positively impact the democracy at the workplaces.
